XD. Okay so im a little skeptikal about downloading torrents now =X. Ive read alot of stuff ecspecially about big torrents. (in the gigs) and i guess it tracable and punishable, I read download copywritten material is against the law and can be punishable for up to 250k dollars and 3 yrs in prison. (since downloading somthing like that is stealling from sales) Anyways i guess my concern is.. What are my chances of being in trouble for downloading a ps2 game off a torrent? (Mind you, I am of age to go to jail..).
thats about it, The game i wanna download i do own, But a friend is borrowing it and now annoyingly ignoring me. so i figure ill just burn it cus i wanna play NOW! xD. Any info?

By the way, owning a game/movie/cd means you have the right to use it, not make a copy of it, download it etc. (speaking for the United States).
Sharing is another story, I though there usually arent consequences when it comes to download.. only uploading, Uploading yur giving millions copywritten material... Thats like 3 dollars a song on napster or whatever to everyone for free. i can see why thats illegal but dont the athorities go after torrent sites before people who are downloading? Start at the root of the problem not every signle person leeching off the root, Correct?
