Hey guys, I was wondering what are some things that you can do to keep your wii laser clean, since I have heard in forums that that was one of the problems that a wii couldn't read a game disc. I am really curious about this, since if it happens to a wii with a wiikey, then you can't send it back to Nintendo since it is modded, and that is basically the only way to repair the dirty laser.

Have you tried one of those CD's with the fine fibres attaches?

I place my Wii in the Dishwasher.

I know I read that at least one person got a dvd lens cleaner disc and successfully used it on their wii. Anybody else have any opinions or experience with this? Like lots of people, I get the white screen/green text reading error from time to time on super smash bros brawl, usually when loading a cinematic. A lot of those can be fixed by just skipping the movie or popping the disc back in, but I'd rather just fix the problem altogether without opening up the wii or sending to nintendo if possible. So does anybody know if dvd lens cleaners are safe and a good idea? What about compressed air cans? Thanks

I'd be more concerned about burning a motor out then a dirty laser lens. Very unlikely.
