Hi, Everyone,

I am having a problem while copying a movie with my computer.I backup/copy the movie with the 1click or clone program at a speed of x4. The problem is that when it is burned ready on my blank media used, sometimes it wil play on most dvd players and on pc and most time it does not play.

You may tell me what type of disc I am using. Well I tried loads of different brands and the most compatible i found are the Smartbuy media x8 -DVD R.

Well you might tell me also that it could be a failer from the burner as mostly the dvd player(1 panasonic and 1 roadstar) will show me uncompatible media when i insert the burned DVD or also when it plays the movie will start from middle of it instead of showing menus etc etc.

I think it is not the dvd burner my problem because listen to this and see how strange is my problem here.

I backup to burn same movie with the same programm and same blank media on 3 different computers and at same speed and it also happens to me. I am angry throwing all this media in the bin as it does not play. The only difference in computers is the burner drive as on 1 pc it is LG and others are Toshiba and when I am lucky to have one done it will come out from the LG and also if I burn again same movie on same pc with same programm etc etc it might not play and I have to throw away my burned DVD.

Then the 2 other burners Toshiba are new as they are on new laptops HP and is the most difficult to get a good burned media. I do not think this is from settings such as burn speeds etc as they are all set the same. WHAT CAN BE MY PROBLEM???????

Sorry for my long thread but I never heard something like this before. Any help is many appreceated. Thanks Mark

I think everybody else will tell you the same think. Get good media brand like Taiyo Yuden or Vrerbatim to try.
If you think your Smartbuy (sounds like a store brand) is good, download NERO CD Speed and run your burn through the test to see how good it is.
LG burner may not be compatible with all the features of the test but it will give you the idea. Toshiba burner I am not sure.
This is the site to get it from:
