I have a xbox 360 flashed with ixtreme 1.3 and wanted to know if it was safe to go to the marketplace to download maps and stuff. I only have a xbox silver account and haven't done any updates on it since i got it in dec.

Well, if everone's theory is correct, and it is bad back up discs getting everyone banned, then you should be fine. Just do not have a disc in the console. Plus it is usually golg accounts that get banned, because everyone i know who were banned were playing games online.
