It looks like there is a new mod chip on the horizon. $53 bucks and it is due out on the 20th of March. [url=http://www.foundmy.com/oscom/product_info.php?products_id=260][/url]

I was looking at ordering the d2pro bundle but may wait for this chip if it is the next generation. This bundle comes with a flat flex cable, is that a key or just longer cables ?

I have ordered my drive off ebay, downloaded the programs and am anxious to get my backups going.

Hey, yeah I was reading a little about it. I don't really see what makes it greatly better than other modchips. The soldering is supposed to be easier, but I just posted something on the new wiilip that I was reading about today. It attaches to a chip on the dvd serial drive completely solderless. You have to solder it to the chip on the other side though, but that is huge if you ask me. I have a wiikey sitting at my house and a wii I tried to chip, but did a horrible job, and had to undue. With this thing I can solder it to my wiikey, and just attach it to the Wii.

i'd wait until the new ARGON is released. it has the features of the wasabi, and more. also, less wires to solder, and better updates to the chip with the jtag programmer.
