It doesn't work on OFW actually - you need custom.

when will they ever come up with something other than pandora's battery!

is there any way you could create one with an original 3.6v 1800mAh
battery pack? like by breaking off the fifth leg or something like that..

You can hard mod the battery yes - I think you can reverse it though that's not recommended.

If you have a friend with custom firmware you can use his and softmod which is easily reversed. Alternatively just buy a Pandora (Datel Tool battery).

Yeah - so what makes you think I'm not talking about the battery that came with your psp? I can't see those pics btw... Does your battery not look like the one in the thread - is that what you are saying?

Well - you can either google around and see if you can find more info - try youtube cos there are videos as well... or you can buy a datel tool battery which is what I'd do. I wouldn't mess with solder and stuff on my psp battery. They aren't that expensive really. If you only have one battery and make it Pandora then you have to test your PSP when it's done, you will have to make it regular again and hope it works 1st time and if it doesn't you are gonna have to change it to Pandora again and then back and so on. There's only so much you can mess with the battery before you break it altogether.
