No most wii titles are larger than 2 gig's and wont fit on your sd card.

There should be more info out there on this method.

If I can find the site where I downloaded Game Copy I will post it here. It recognises the SD card through the adapter (in GC slot) whereas the Wiikey config discs DVDDump does not.

I don't know. I have a wii with wiikey and an internal gecko mod installed but the config disk wont read the sd card. My guess is you may have problems with the sd card reading, and bad dumps etc. It doesn't seem like an exact science to me, so be prepared for a little frustration.

I opted for this method of backing up games as I didn't feel it was worth the $100AUD for a second hand LG DVD ROM.

It is very simple and effective method of backing up games.

I did a lot of reading on the Gecko GC adapter, and even considered the USB version so it would dump directly to my PC. But... I discovered the WiiKey Adapter on eBay and purchased it for $7AUD. I also purchased an SD Card. Make sure its no bigger than 2GB, so it can be formated in FAT (FAT16 and not FAT32)

Game Copy dumps it to the SD card, pauses whilst you transfer the contents to PC, and then continues when you reinsert the card. You will need a GC controller.

I have not yet had any failed attempts with this method.

Wiikey Adapter for GC is here - http://www.ausxmods.com.au/wiikey-sd-adapter-p-211.html

I am not supposed to need the gecko adapter though if I have the internal gecko mod...

Not sure how the internal mod acts with the utility. I cannot see any reason why it would not work if you SD card was in the slot.

For those that want to download the utility. It is posted here - http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/640867

You may need to pad the disc out with an additional file of about 500meg before burning to dvd.
