Great programs. Thanks. When convert do you just stick in an NTSC vob, then put the settings on PAL & convert it? I thought it was suppose to be a long gruelling process

Can you just load a VOB into nero 8, set it to PAL & burn it, would that be the same, don't you have to change the resolution since NTSC is 720,480 & PAL is 720x576?

Doesn't Nero sometimes re-encode? Try it and see.

If you're not sure, or want more control, do it outside of Nero.

Converting NTSC to Pal has never been difficult, because Apps
like Tmpgenc 2.5 have been able to do it for years. You fed it the
input, selected the output template, and the program would
convert one to the other - difference being that perhaps it wasn't
always the best quality.

However, it worked, with varying results.. If you really
want the best result, you have to learn a little about what is
actually happening - not everybody wants to bother.

What do you mean by "lossless" PAL ?

I meant PAL but wi9th the same quality as the NTSC, i suppose NTSC to PAL does not matter too much, with most LCD's handling both formats, Thanks for the input guys.

When you say "the same quality as the NTSC" are you implying that
you want to do it with out re-encoding ? Because when ever you
re-encode, there's always *some* loss - but it can be minimal if you're
careful.

Have you tried Dvdflick or convertXtodvd ?
