Hello people,

This is the first time I'm posting a question on this forum, and I'm hoping the issue is not too complicated.

Not long ago I had to reformat my PC (Win XP from 2004) and reinstall windows and everything else.
It went pretty well, but:

My video's (and dvd's), played on either Media Player or anything else, are of low resolution.

I tried downloading some codecs but experimenting blindly didn't do the trick.
Does anybody here know how I should address this problem?

Many thanks in advance!!!

The picture is not at all sharp.
The pixels are very big.

Can you provide a screen print showing the problem?
Are the images the correct size ?

Use "alt/prt screen" keys to save image of the active window,
Open program MSPAINT, type ctrl-v to paste in the image,
save as a jpeg.

Upload it to one of the image hosting sites, eg;
http://www.imageshack.us/

Then post the URL of the uploaded image, so that experts on
afterdawn.com can diagnose the problem.

Thanks for the tip!

Here's an image I captured while running a perfectly good dvd.
I saw this dvd before on my computer (before it crashed) and enjoyed a much higher picture quality.

Anybody knows why the pixels here are so big?
What can I do abou it?

Thanks!
