Haw can I Shrink a 227 minutes Movie on VHS so as it will go on a 120 minutes DVD. I have Dezzle and all 3 of the 321 or do I need to stop and capture save as part 1 of 2 and then part 2 of 2 and make 2 DVDs? This takes over 8 Hrs for each tape. I may not be asking this right, so I hope you know what I'm getting at

Hi devil60. There is no fast way to do VHS to dvd. You have to play the tapes into a capture device to get them on the HD. At the top of this forum page is a guide by dRD--AVI to dvd. It should help you get started.

devil60,

Ok, I wanna get this right - Backing up a 2 hour movie (120 minutes) is pretty much the same as converting a 227 minute ( that's a 3 and 3/4 HOUR) movie to a 120 minute format -?? Hummmmmm

You want to put 3 and 3/4 hours AVI on a DVD ??

Kool !!

Me, I'm easier, I want Jelo to stop by my house in a bikini and give me a back rub.

When you compressed your DVD VOB files and put them right back without crossing lines it wasn't too bad a problem.

That doesn't mean - AVI to MPEG2 to DVD-5 is OK - it means you're losing quality and the ability to compress, not gaining the ability to compress more.

Start with AVI to MEPG2 to DVD and dust off several disc there Good Guy -
