Whats wrong with my psp?

I just got DJ Max protable 1 for psp in cso file a few days ago and it worked fine now this moring when i tried playing it i can play a song then it just freezes and the psp just shuts off.

I have 3.71M33-4 and I tried the game on 2 other psp with the same firmware and it works fine no freeze.

Do I need a higher firmware or is it my memory card? I have a 8gb memory card and its real got it from staples MagicGate is supported.

Anything I can do about it?

might be that you need to speed the cpu up a bit.

you can do this by pressing select and getting the vhs menu to pop up and then go to cpu iso/umd and change it to 333.

I have heard that compressed ISO's running from 8gb cards can have the lag effect, can you get it in ISO format? I reckon that may sort it. Also, try switching the no-umd to M33 or Np9660 depending on what your using now.

My other firned has 8GB and it works fine for him. I've tried sony np9660 and M33 driver still freezes all the other games i have are all cso files and they all work pref only this one doesn't.

Any ideas?

uncompress it. the game uncompressed is 1.5gb (around) so it will lag if compressed to an cso just uncompress it and see if that helps.

its not lag theres no lag its perf it just freezes after i finish a song any song

did you try uncompressing it?

there not much more you can do.

the problem is not the game but the settings so it can be sorted.

try turning no-UMD off and put a disc in the drive and see if that helps its possible that it has a problem running on no-UMD drivers.

also try mucking about with some of the settings in recovery mode e.g
changing the fake region to different ones.

apart from that the only other option is to update your cfw and see if that fixes the problem but most iso problems are to do with the set up of the cfw


also do you have the 1.50 addon install (i guess you do)
if not install it and it may fix the problem.

humm might be but it the fist time iv heard a problem caused by the game save 0_<

copy it to your computer and then delete it because if it isnt then you will have lost it.

you have the 1.50 kernel installed?

Yea its the gamesave i deleted it and it worked fine no lag no freeze and yes i have 1.50 kernel installed not memory card problem not iso cso problem its the game save
