I have a D-link Dir 615 and using red kawa file server to transfer files to my PS3. even though i have 80% signal strength the transfer rate is about 8MBS or 1 Megabyte a second. I thought the maximum rate is 54mbs so why am I getting such low rates if the signal strength is at 80%??

I've never used this program before although it sounds interesting. I've got a DIR-625 myself. I think the problem isnt with the router or the program, I think its simply the rate at which the PS3 accepts files.

I suppose you could try and put your PS3 into a DMZ and that might provide some positive results and if not it would help the PS3's online capabilities anyway.
