Is there any possible way to downgrade to 1.5 without using pandoras battery and the magic memory stick

That's one method of doing it. But an easier way is to get a friends psp that is already Open Edition and Just use the Pandora from there. If you have no friends you could always buy another PSP (make sure the PSP you're gonna buy is the lowest version you can find ex. 2.71 or below.), Make a Pandora battery from that, downgrade your psp, and return the PSP back to the store and get your money back =]

Datel Battery Tool? never heard of that before. Don't worry dude downgrading a PSP isn't that hard. Just buy another PSP and return it.
