Burning SSBB on a USA WiiKey

I've seen people do different things and I've read the sticky. I have a USA Wii (firmware 3.2U) with WiiKey (already updated to 1.9G/B) and I have some Memorex DVD+R Dual Layer discs. To burn it, I just burn it with ImgBurn at 2.4X speed and that's it? I'm not sure if I need to layer break it since it says USA WiiKey doesn't require it, but others do it. Do I also need to patch the .ISO with WiiBrickBlocker? Thanks for clearing this up for me.

Im a little confused about that too. I looked at the thread on that but I didn't understand exactly how you were supposed to burn in to sl disk. I clicked the link for the intructions but nothing on "how to burn onto sl disk came up. Is there a 4+ gb iso out there or something?

Basically, just burn the iso to a dual layer disk with imgburn at 2.4x and cross your fingers. Some people it works first time, others have to fiddle with the settings a bit. I dont think setting the layerbreak is necessary with a US wii.

I havent tried this myself but I've heard that you can just tell imgburn to burn the dual layer iso and give it a single layer disk and have it just burn what will fit. However even if that works you're gonna lose the SSE cutscenes, so single player mode will not work. Masterpeices also wont work, and I think there were a few other things that are on the second layer as well. But vs mode will work just fine if thats all you wanted.

See page 99 for what you need to do to burn to a sl disc. You lose some stuff though.
