Unable to place gameboot

Basically the title explains it all. I cant place any gameboot in my f0/vsh/resource folder. I can place all other files except for that. Whenever i try placing one it stops half-way and says

Have you tried with a different gameboot? It may be that your gameboot file is corrupt as you are able to copy other files in/out of the folder.

Also, makesure that the file is a .pmf file, is less than 1.2mb, and is named gameboot.pmf.

yeah i can't copy any gameboots. I used to be able to copy/paste gameboots in and out but for some reason i cant anymore. And yes its "gameboot.pmf", its under 1.2 mb and i have tried multiple gameboots.
I just tried using my friend's psp to test out placing gameboots on his psp and they were all successful. I dont have any idea why the crc is happening to mine.
