I'm a newbie here and please bear with any mistakes.
I've just recently bought a NTSC u/c ddr game for ps2 but i only realised after i bought the game that i can't play with my PALps2. I live in UK and thus my ps 2 support PAL not NTSC. I've got a sony TV that supports both PAL and NTSC.
I really want to play the game and therefore i searched around the net for 2 whole days and found the software call Swap magic and magic keys 2.
My ps 2 is version 15 with SCPH 77003 and I'm thinking about getting a swap magic with magic keys to be able to playing. Buying the swap magic disc gonna cost me about 20 quids and I need to make sure that the Swap magic version works (i've got no income).
Therefore, can someone tell the correct version of swap magic that i should use - ver 3.6 or 3.6 plus or 3.8 and also whether it's PAL or NTSC (cos I want to play an original copy of Ntsc u/c game not a back up on my Pal ps2)?
I'd greatly appreciate if someone can share their experience in the similar situations.
Either V3.6 or V3.8 will work, only difference is that V3.8 has support for cheat codes. You will need to get the PAL version of Swapmagic (since your system is also PAL). You will also need magic keys as you mention (get Magic Keys II).
Boot up swapmagic
select your region as PAL, press [] for special boot, then the game should boot up as your system will think it is a PAL game.
Note: The screen may be a bit off center after the conversion, but often times there will be a screen calibration option within the game itself.

First of all thank you so much replying/helping with my question.
What do you mean by Press [] for special boot and what's the purpose of the special boot?
Also I'm thinking about buying the swap magic from techwizard.com - do you know whether it's a trustworthy site or not (swap magic 3 official website says the techwizard.com is their official seller)? Also do you any trustworthy sites in UK where i can busy swap magic cheaply?
What I mean by press [] is press square. It is the button you press to force the playback of a different region game.
Never heard about techwizard but if it's an official reseller, they should be good. As for other sellers in the UK, don't know of any as I'm located in the states. I remember it used to be so easy find Swapmagic online, now it's so hard to find it (from a reputable reseller).
