sropped psp now ums's dont work

hi a friend of mine dropped his psp(fat) and now umd games dont work .when i put the umd disc in i can't even hear it spin any ideas what it might be.also is there a good guide to taking the back covers off just in case its something obvious

had a bit more time to look at it now and have found that the motor spins for the umd and laser lights up but does not seem to move back and forward to read disc any ideas.
