I have a TDK 440 CD/DVD Burner attached to
an Apple Macintosh Beige G3 via a Sonnet Trio
Firewire Port. Both CD-R and CD-RW media
appear to erase, write and verify under control of
Roxio Toast Lite software. When the recorded
CD is removed from the burner and placed in the G3 CD-Rom Drive to inspect the new content,
the CD-RW disc is not recognized by the G3; the G3 CD Drive does not spin up. The CD-R disc is recognized and the G3 Drive does spin up, but no Ikon appears on the monitor thus preventing access. Possibly if I understood the CD formats
involved, I could understand what is happening.
