I am fed up with my Memor32. Yes, I do understand that the project is still in an early stage of development (have been saying that forever) and that it is unstable, but the whole the reason that I bought it was so I can play shadow hearts and Xenosaga triology and GOW series. Out of the 8 games, only 2 to be working. And Memento team seems to have completely abandoned the project, it is completely hopeless.. I felt very much ripped off, although most other games seemed to work out fine... but those were not my main reason for purchasing the card..
So I have decided my last resort is the modchips.. after doing some research I found out some modchips such as matrix infinity, ghost, dms, mobo are quite famous; however, I have no clue what modchip I should get in term of its compatibility.
My ps2 is the slim 77001 NTSC version. I have got it almost a year now, within a few months, it will be out of its warranty. Can you guys suggest me a good mod chip in term of its stability, compatibility with the above games and DVD9 games(such as GOW, rouge galaxy, xenosaga)?
Its up to you what you want from your modchip? all the ones you listed are good...but ask yourself what you want to do with the ps2 after its modded? do you want to continuously upgrade ? then go with Matrix..DMS... Crystal chip--- how ever I have some beef with CC .. there slow ...and dont answer emails .. If you just want to play the odd back up ...then go cheap ...I think the Duo is cheap stable modchip...Modbo is fine as long as you dont stay out of the Menu ..
Remember to use good quality media ...and keep the discs in good condition.. Ive seen so many of my customers come back saying the chip is no good !! hahaha you should see there discs..Idiots..
