Are there any advantages/disadvantages of downgrading from 3.03 to 1.50 versus 3.50 to 1.50? It seems like it's the exact same procedure except getting a copy of Lumines is easier than an unpatched copy of GTA Liberty City Stories. (Trying to downgrade my PSP 1001 with firmware 2.82 to 1.50 and then upgrading it up to 3.90 M33-2)

Also, would a 4GB Sony Memory Stick Pro Duo work for downgrading? No specifics are listed on the ultimate downgrader guide. And my last question would be that what exactly do the custom firmware patches do from Dark-Alex? Do they include all the features that would normally be added from the official firmware, but still allow you to use homebrew, etc?

there are some disadvantages of downgrading through lumines (dont know if its the same for 3.03) which is that if you have a TA-082 motherboard then you can update to ofw past 3.30 but you can still update past that with cfw also some of the stuff from 3.50 is left on the flash0 if you stay at 1.50 which stops you from running some homebrew but if you install cfw then that goes.

for pandoras battery you can use a 4gb for some magic mem stick makers but id advise a 512mb card its easy and quick to do it on that size

and you exactly right on cfw but for 3.71m33 plus you have to install the 1.50 kernel separate from the 3.71m33 update.
