I recently burned No Country For Old Men and American Gangster and when I put them in my dvd player, some of the scenes are kind of skippy. Like it freezes and it skips sometimes, but the original movie is fine though. I used dvd decrypt to burn the movies, because shrink failed and all. I used dvd fabhd decrypter to burn NCFOM, then use shrink to shrink the file and then use dvd decrypt to burn it into a HP DVD+R. I never had any problems, but recently it's been skipping. Please help, thanks.

You'll get better results burning with better media and ImgBurn and not burning at the maximum rate.

99% of all problems are between the computer and the chair.

Hmm, I used 2x for the rate because max rate killed it in the beginning. So basically do the same, but use imgburn to burn the movie? Thanks.

ImgBurn, half the DVD's rated speed (you can go too slow) and good media. 16X Verbatim if you can get them. Also make sure your burner's firmware is up to date.

Just to add a wee bit to the sagely advice, try not to multitask, surf the web, listen to internet radio, etc. while you're burning.

Agree with the other members here. No good reason to use cheap blank media. Taiyo Yuden and Verbatim are all alot of us here use. It's the good stuff!

Rip, burn, and conquer!

Slapping any sticker labels on them?

That'll definitely give you those issues.

Entire disc or main movie only?

HP media can also be the culprit. That's 1 brand I stay away from.Keep burn speed at 4x.

1st thing to do,take note of where the issues arrise on your stand alone player. Then play them back in your PC and use the drive that burned it. View that suspected area for freezing/skipping. The pc should play it to near perfection.
