I recently burned No Country For Old Men and American Gangster and when I put them in my dvd player, some of the scenes are kind of skippy. Like it freezes and it skips sometimes, but the original movie is fine though. I used dvd decrypt to burn the movies, because shrink failed and all. I used dvd fabhd decrypter to burn NCFOM, then use shrink to shrink the file and then use dvd decrypt to burn it into a HPDVD+R. I never had any problems, but recently it's been skipping. Please help, thanks.
ImgBurn, half the DVD's rated speed (you can go too slow) and good media. 16X Verbatim if you can get them. Also make sure your burner's firmware is up to date.
HP is low grade media use either Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim burning between 4x and 8x max. booktype the DVD plus R media to DVD-ROM also or use the DVD dash R format
HP media can also be the culprit. That's 1 brand I stay away from.Keep burn speed at 4x.
1st thing to do,take note of where the issues arrise on your stand alone player. Then play them back in your PC and use the drive that burned it. View that suspected area for freezing/skipping. The pc should play it to near perfection.
