Error 6 After Using Dostools To Lockhd - Hard Drive Now Locked

I still have a working softmodded (hard-drive) xbox using the older UXE 1.2 hotswap xboxhdm method but I got a new hard-drive this week so I prepared my OLDER 80gb for use with the xbox. I checked the computability list for xbox with hard-drives and all was good from looks of it for my Seagate ST380011A

Steps I took to get to this point

1. I installed Ndure 3.1 and followed Textbooks instructions with xboxhdm from xbox-scene

2. I had the EEPROM.bin backed up using the evox and i FTP'd that eeprom.bin over to the EEPROM folder under Linux xboxhdm/linux/eeprom

3. Everything went well, i built the new C and E

4. Rebooted and chose option 3 to lock the hard-drive i typed lockhd -a but i got some weird message saying aborting!

5. Not sure what was up with that, read around different xbox forums and google and found somewhere about trying Dos Tools so I ran make-DOS-floppy.bat

6. Ran lockhd.exe and it seemed to work BUT CAME up with message asking for password, i freaked out and typed xboxscene, it saved a HDDPW.TXT to the floppy and I open that and it just says XBOXSCENE0

now when i put this drive into the xbox i get an error #6

Things I've tried to fix the drive:

1. I read about some seagate firmware change at http://www.seagateunlock.com/ BUT my drive doesn't fit that category of ATA4 or whatever, i tried running the bootable floppy and it just came up with my drive wasn't supported

2. Ran xboxhdm bootable CD again and chose option 3 again to try Unlockhd and when i type unlockhd -a it shows HDKEY: (Lots of Numbers/Letters) and HDPass: (Lots of Numbers/Letters) but the drive still shows Locked - I try typing in unlockhd -p (those numbers above in HDPass and HDKEY) and nothing I try unlockhd -p xboxscene0 or xboxscene and in captials but still nothing, i have to power off now because 5 tries security locks the drive

3. Last Option is i found software called HDD Unlock Wizard which says it can unlock my drive but its going to cost $9.99 which isn't bad but if I could do this some FREE way i'd prefer it

What can i do?

so the hddinfo.txt HDDKey is 32 numbers/letters and i've tried entering it with atapwd.exe and it says Error: Command rejected by device, i've tried all capitals to - i tried xboxscene, XBOXSCENE, xboxscene0, XBOXSCENE0

I have 2 drives

-the older Seagate drive that came with the Xbox and is modded with UXE 1.2 is working fine and I can still use the xbox with it

-the newer drive is the one that is locked and was my drive i used to use for Windows XP etc did it even use the eeprom.bin with the unlockhd.exe command in dostools? Maybe i just locked it on its own without any of use the eeprom.bin ???

I have to turn off computer after 5 attempts at password or security lock comes on

Its unlocked now!

i used the dos tools to do it from the floppy

I ininitially locked the drive with the same floppy and I think i had unlocked it before but i never ran hddisabl.exe

So I ran hdunlock.exe and it would ask for a master password, i typed XBOXSCENE or the full 32 letter/number and afterwards it would both times say DONE! and i'd reset but nothing would happen but this time i ran hddisabl.exe after and also my password when it asked and now when i reboot and run HDD Unlock wizard it says the drive is unlocked now

i'll start from square 1 again and try everything again
