What is this? i see it in the PS2 and PS3 menu...
i see by default it's always turnt off.
so wha's it do?

I think it smooths the edges of PS1 and PS2 games to improve the look, takes the jaggedness of them. I think its only on the 60gb, 20gb and 80gb since there the only ones that are BC.

it still looks the same imo...

The only thing that bums me out about the PS3 is how PS1 and 2 games look the same and not any better...

I thought that it would be upconverted like DVDs but guess not.

PS1 Emulators on PC looks way better.




PS3...it only does everything(that Sony allows it to)

It improves it a tiny bit, barely noticable really. In future maybe there will be a way to run PS1 emulators and stuff through linux, although my linux is outputting green picture at the minute -_-
Maybe a future firmware update will improve the smoother more.

the 40 gig plays ps games, just not ps2 games
