Hello everyone =). I just moved to Pakistan from the U.S. and I brought my PS2 with me. So i bought a 220v-110v step-down converter, but it turns out it was only 30 Watts and it blew, and I'm having a hard time locating a 100 Watt converter.

So I read an article here and the author says that he connected his 110v PS2 to the 220v outlet directly and it worked fine. So can anyone confirm this? I wouldn't ask any of you guys to be the guinea pig and risk your console, but maybe someone has tried this. Once again, I'm wondering if it is safe to plug a 110v American PS2 into a 220v outlet. I would really appreciate any help on this subject, thank you very much.

teh_fuzz, as someone who works with electricity for a living, I would NOT recommend you connect ANY 110V AC device to ANY 220 volt outlet! This not only could fry your PS2, but you as well! At least think of the fire hazard!

I would check locally for a converter, in the town, or village, you are in. Then check E-Bay, and anyone else online willing to ship to Pakistan.
