psp battery low question

I was playing psp yeturday and i usaully let the battery symbol go to empty then turn of and charge it. Yesturday if forgot and while playing a game the psp flashed with the battery thing then turned of. i charged it and then one hour later turned it on and it was like it had been in sleep mode all the time. the game was still running.

I dont understand shouldent the psp have turned of rather then slept?
Can someone tell me the steps of what to do when psp turns of when battery low?

Having the battery run low isn't a big deal. it happens to all of us. All u have to do is plug in the charger and leave it for a while. Although staying in standby takes a bit of battery, the psp automatically goes to sleep mode when it detects that it only has enough energy to maintain your current game on its ram. Hope this helps

so when i charge it agter battery gos flat its in sleep mode? i didnt even know you could charge in sleeep mode
