hello, i have recently modded my wii, and am looking to backup some games, in my computer i only have a rewritable drive that burns dvd+r and not dvd-r. are there any dvd+r disks that will burn and run on the wii?
i am currently looking at the following disks to buy:
maxell dvd+r 1-16x
verbatim advanced azo+ dvd+r
verbatim 16x dvd+r
fuji fujifilm dvd+r
fuji fujifilm dvd+r colour
tdk dvd+r 1-4x
What's the brand name and model # of your dvd-rw drive?
The 16x verbs would be the best in that list. But,if your drive is Plus format only,that means it's a very old drive. The firmware in that dvd-rw drive may be too old,and doesn't know how to burn the faster 16x blank media.
If the spindles of Fuji say made in japan,then those would be very good. But if made in taiwan,not so good.
TDK 4x: Mediocre,but your older drive should be able to handle the older 4x media. I haven't seen 4x media in years.
Maxell: Majority of their +8x or under is very good. Beware of their +16x.
Hi, I have a HP pavilion 1450.uk and thedrive I have ths the dvd+rewritable that came with it. Yesterday I found a disk, a Tuff disc 4x DVD+RW so thought, Ill try the game on this. so I installed with ImgBurn at 4x. Tested it and it ran perfectly.
So my drive is working. Back to the dvd+r question ofwhich to have I have narrowed it down to;
Fuji (made in japan)
Maxell 8X or 4X
16x Verbatim
verbatim advanced azo+ dvd+r
and taiyo yuden 8x
which do yo think, i was thinking of either going for the taiyo yuden or verbatim advance azo+
