wii will not read any firmware disks

I put a wiikey in my ds2 wii yesterday and am trying to update the firm ware. the wii works just like it did before the wiikey install. I have read all 46 pages of the previous posts and have tried everything. i have made disks that are dvd-r and dvd+r at 4x and 1x speed using tdk disks and image burn and roxio easy media creator both to burn the disks. i have made the 1.3 config, 1.3 config padded, 1.9b rescue, 1.9b rescue padded, 1.2 config, 1.3 hacked, 1.9b, and 1.9g and the wii will never boot up to any of the disks. I have left disks in for 5 min. reset,turned off, and unpluged multiple times with each disk and it always boots up to the main menu and will not read any of the disks. I am at a loss on how to update this thing. I know this has been gone over and over but i am at wits end and any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

imgburn is the best program for burning any disks for the Wii though the most popular media is verbatim dvd-r. Try that. If you still have no joy then the chip is prolly not installed properly.

You should have asked in the other thread btw. Just cos it's long doesn't mean it's not replied to.
