HI,
First, glad to be back posting here again. Thanks.
I'm a loyal Verb fan, burnt about 100+ DLs now, all from Singapore. Now that Verbs start to roll out Discs from India, i have really cared, until i made 3 coasters out of 10! Yikes! Before with Singapore discs, i had maybe 2 discs out of 100+.
I know Verbs don't Badge, even in India; Verb discs are made in Verb factories, but can factory in India have that bad of Quality control?
I'm rethinking about the phrase: "A verb is a Verb."
thanks.

I've averaged around 3 bad burns out of 50 pack of MII dual layers from Sam's Club. I've never had a bad with the MIS ones that wasn't user error. My result haven't been nearly as bad as some others, but there is something clearly different with the discs.
How old is your burner? I think any burner that's heavily used should be swapped out once every 12-18 months.

"but they are so cheap..." Price isn't always a indication of quality ! in that sometimes you actually get More ( Quality ) than the Price of an item would lead you to expect ! But if I may be alllowed to generalize ! you generally get what you pay for !My policy is to Use single layer media for most of my backups except for Really Special projects ! I understand that I'm dealing with compression as opposed to a DL disc But I still Enjoy My Backups & the cost is so much better Even using quality media like Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim , Sony ect... I'm Not Knocking DVD+R DL media I've burned a few & as long as It's Verbatim ( preferred ) They're great !!! & if I want to do a DL backup or a Lightscribe Disc Then That's what I'll Buy or reach For Verbatim !!! Now if only gasoline prices could drop as low as DVD Media LOL!!!! sad but true !!!
FeetZ Up ! Head Down !

We have gone through well over hundred of the 'new' Verb DLs made in India and the only coaster was one of human doing. When the Verb rep was in he said to reduce speed. We now run our DLs at 2.4 which is a pain but still better than repeating a burn.

the said thing is i do ALL mine at 2.4x. Maybe i got unlucky. I shouldn't complain, it's only 2 out of 10 in 1 instance, i'll report back when i burn more packs to get overall picture. :)

Yo BurningAS,
I burn all my Verbs at 4x and they went pretty smoothly even with MIIs on a Samsung burner. I had a few bad ones out of a 50 pack, of course I'd prefer zero. My burner is a cheap burner too. It's just $30 at Microcenter.
For me I stick with the MISs unless I really need some DL Verbs and can't find the MIS, but that's never a problem.

Common marketing ploy. start off with good quality to get people buying, then start using overprints as soon as the customer base is established.
I have tuffdisk dvd that coded when first out as ty's. New ones code as FAKES or cmc.. says it all.
I have seen the verbs from india too.. complete junk.. Best d/l dvd I have seen so far are purple traxdata. (surprised.. I am)
