on the ps3 do i have to switch the picture quality when the game max is 720p and i have my ps3 set to 1080p or can i check them all off and it will pick the one it will go up to. Also i was wonderin on darker game like condemed 2 it is kinda snowy is that because i have my tv in dynamic mode...that is what i just heard but wasnt sure

No you do not. It should pick the highest resolution both your TV and the game support.
