i don't really know what the problem might be, but it could be a corrupted iso, or more likely a fake memstick.

im running crisis core and its playing fine, and im still on 3.71m33

Try redownloading the ISO from a reliable website or torrent. I have one which is like 1.1 GB. It runs smoothly without any glitches or lags.

when i downloaded the original japanese cc:ffvii, it was 1.7gigs, iso format. compressing to cso made it 1.2gigs. not sure about the english version. i'm gonna have to get it to understand the game.

if you have the actual cc:ffvii umd, rip the game yourself.

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd

No, the Japanese version doesn't have English subs.
