hi,
I purchased 5 games yesterday and copied 4 easyily enough using xbox back creator 2.8. However, I can't rip 'Turning Point Fall of Liberty'. It gets to 3.39% and then stops due to a security sector issue. I have tried Schtrom as well without any luck, I have also tried changing the drive profile in backup creator. I'm really stumped on this one! Any ideas people?

why do you want to backup fall of liberty? that game has 4/10 rating it sucks big time

maybe he wants to back it up so his original doesnt get screwed up. who cares if its a 4/10.... but back to something that will actually help you, i had the same problem a while back with a different game. the only way i could get it to read it entirely was to hit the unlock button a couple of times until it said 6.86 gigs unlocked or whatever it is. hopefully that fixes your problem.

I have tried everything that I can think of. I managed to make an ISO image but it wouldn't play on the xbox after burning it. Xbox back creator doesn't like it at all, the only way I could copy it was to do 'current partition' rather than 'complete back up'. The issue is that it is a brand new disc/ game and I am wondering whether or not some new security codes are being put into the games. As this following forum shows there are a lot of new games like this and Condemmed 2 that are having the same issue!

I know this wont help but i used Xbox Backup Creator 2.8 and had no problems backing it up, i burnt it using imgburn, and verbatim disks. i thought it was a ok game not the best, i would have rated it 5 and a half out of 10

Not sure about the security because you can find working copies of both of the games you mentioned online. So people are being able to copy them. It may just be your PC or drive that are causing the issues.

I would have thought that as well but I've burned four other games this weekend without any problem at all! Just a strange one!

It is surely not unheard of that the drive would have a problem with one particular game. But if others are able to copy it then security would not be the issue. Are these the steps you are using?
1. Stick original disc in your Samsung PC drive and let it spin for a second and be recognized
2. open Xbox Backup Creator
3. go to tools tab and click unlock drive (also make sure the drive you are using is selected in the drop down menu before you try to read the disc)
4. go to read tab and start it (make sure it is set to read the full disc and not just the current partition)

I have followed those steps to the letter! Still the same, must be a dodgy disc; it's the first time I've had anything like this happen so I'll put it down as a one off! The original game plays fine in my 360 though!
It's reads it in XBC 2.8 but can't get past 3.39% of the read!

It has to be the disk I have tryed 100's of times to copy Crackdown cleaned the dvd reinstalled the program the works. You just cant backup a bad cd man figured that out the hard way =(

crack down is a bitch of a game to copy. thank God for blackcats, i have still yet to be able to read that entire game, i get to like 25% and it stops everytime.
