GT4 won't run on ps2 v14

well GT4 dvd5 rip won't load on my ps2 v14 probably because I've got a crap modchip apple ex (could be a modchip fault?)

the screen goes black just after the data load/creation just before the intro movie.

I know is my ps2 cuz I run the same disc on the PCsx2 emu and it work fine (well very slow but the point is that the game should be ok)

Any idea?

BTW I burnt the backup several times on diferent media (at 2-4x) verbatim and sony.

And other thing, the pal version ran (but I can't patch it)
I tried with adrenaline and ps2 v-fix and none work another one?
