D2Pro is only for D2C Chipsets as of now.

They are working on a 9 wire install for D2C users using SPI Flash so they possibly could as well make it compatible with DMS/D2A/D2B chipsets like Wasabi, Infectus 2 and ARGON have. But as of now there is no news of D2Pro offering a 5 wire DMS/D2A/D2B compatible install.

That strikes me as odd considering the D2Pro Team released the flash last week as proof of concept that they could reduce the wire count and in their readme stated that the reduced wire count loses functionality.
So now why would they be catering to a 9 wire solution, it seems to contradict what they mentioned in the readme. Unless the SPI Flash that needs to be soldered to the PCB is restoring this lost functionality.
I would imagine that the SPI Flash will give functionality to the other chipsets just as Argon's SPI Flash is.

thx for the reply. I just ordered 2 wiikey's in the meantime. I'm sure one of my buddies has a d2c wii that can use the chip. I'll probably be getting a programmer in the future sometime. Any complaints about the wiikey!? noticed it's only 5 or so wires, the best chip i remember installing for the ps2 was a dms4 s.e. at around 18 or so wires. lol.
