I noticed nero Clean Tool does not remove all traces of Nero. I usually also use CCleaner, or manually delete anything Nero/Ahead related in the registry.
Piss me off, and I Will ignore You!

Thnx for the help i got it working! but my dvd codec for me to burn is expired. I clicked the upgrade but for some reason its not showing US dollars, weird. So i click the option below
"If your country does not appear in the drop-down menu, please click here"
clicked US but it said its not avail. So do i need to buy the full Nero8?

The trial version of Nero 8 does not have any restrictions. Could you elaborate a little more please? I'm not sure exactly what you meant by your last post.

Quote: I noticed nero Clean Tool does not remove all traces of Nero. I usually also use CCleaner,
ccleaner just opens the uninstaller like the windows uninstall list does, the software has a uninstall.exe.....ccleaner and windows just open it through a short cut:)
the only difference is that ccleaner list more apps and hidden software
the clean tool does a better job then the uninstaller that for sure:)

I understand what you say. I use CCleaner after the Nero Clean Tool, and still finds traces of Nero. Every time I had to reinstall Nero, I actually did a manual delete in the registry of all related files. For me, none of the applications removed all the Nero/Ahead traces.

You really don't need Nero 8 just to burn DVDs. ImgBurn is free and does an excellent job!

no other program has an entire section of a site to troubleshoot its crappyness, i stopped using nero a year ago, you'll have to gather up a few programs to make up for it but you sure as hell wont get as many coasters as nero crapps out:)
