DVDShrink keeps getting failure to read error on Sony dru510

I just installed a sony DRU510a 1.0d firmware)and dvdshrink. I tried to make a backup of "Entrapment" and "Suden ImpacT", and both give a "Failed to read from file Reason unknown" error message after4-5 seconds of reading . Both DVDs are brand new. I ran Sony's drivecheck program, it says everything works ok.I made a HD backup w Nero, it appearted to work Processor is AMD K-6-450.Is it too slow? No Roxio, co clone drives. Any ideas appreciated.

try to rip with DVD Decrypter and see if you still get the error. if no error, just open the files ripped in DVD Shrink to compress.

I think i found the problem. The region was't set on recorder. DVD Decrypter asked me to set the region, and now dvdshrink seems to work OK.
