Hi all

My WII console have wiikey chipset installed and it run smoothly before. After i updated 1.9g, still fine and smooth.

Few days ago, I played "the house of death 2" US version, my wii got problem after play. When i turn on my wii, I got whole black screen, but I still can heard the audio.

Is my wiikey dead? Anyone have idea about this?

I am using RGB video (Not component video).

Please help.

Thanks

Do you have a PAL wii? It probably has something to do with your TV settings. I think your TV needs to be set to 50Hz. It might have gotten changed when you tried to play the US game since you would have needed it to be 60Hz for a US title.

My wii is NTSC version. I did update 1.9g but I use wiibricker to prevent any update of any Non NTSC Region games.

According your solution, change 60hz to 50hz?? I am using Tube TV??

Any idea about that??

Thanks

My guess would be nintendo and sega placed some sort of tech into there game that requires the firmware update in order to function correctly i think you might be bricked.

All games have certain firmware requirements, but that doesn't brick the Wii. It is from running firmware from different regions. Even if it did, it would have happen from the start, not after he had finished playing once.

The first thing to check and the easiest, would be to simply hook it up to another tv set. Make sure the cables are in securely. At worst case, it might be a problem with your Wii, but it doesn't sound like something a drive mod could cause, so the wiikey is probably still fine.
