Argon, do I need JTAG to update?

As in the title I'm wondering do I need the JTAG programmer to update the Argon or is it possible to update the firmware via DVD? And I am right in thinking this chip will work with my leg-less D2B or would anyone recommend a different chip? One last thing (few!) thinking of buying from either; [url=http://www.modchip-store.co.uk][/url] of [url=http://www.modchipfitters.com][/url],has anyone used these and what sort of service did you get?

No the programmer isn't essential but it's way better than DVD really.

They will be including the "BS" DVD feature...

I'd get the programmer and even consider the Infectus 2 which comes with the programmer - better value... not much more cost than the argon on it's own - does same job but can be used on various consoles.

I bought the NDS R4 cartridge from modchip-store about this time last year. Came as expected. That's all I can tell you.

Thx for that. Might as well get the JTAG at the same time then. The 2 stores I picked out are both linked from the Infectus site as official Infectus 2 suppliers but neither have them on their site. Might give them a ring tomorrow to see if they have them.
