i am wondering if anyone has had any problems using a handheld label machine on their dvd backups.I use a brother pt-65(model #) to label all my discs.I have not encountered any playback problems using this method.Have been doing this for approximately 2yrs.the labels are 1/2 inch in width, adhesive labels.any feedback/comments would be greatly appreciated.thanks

What about the Heat Generated By the Player During Play back, Doesn't it Lift the labels?? I'd Re-Think that Method.

true.I have some backups that are going on 2yrs with the labels n still get playback with no freezing, skipping, etc.I wanted feedback due to all the posts i have read regarding the pros n cons of labeling, using sharpies, etc.I also use sharpies from time to time but prefer the labels.no problems as of yet.yet being the keyword.lol.

I have not had any labels rise up due to the heat from my standalone or dvd drive.btw i use a magnavox mwd200fa model dvd player n have a lite on dl/rw burner n a pioneer dvd r/rw on my desktop.

I started a thread like this years ago and needless to say everyone was right. After the hours I spent pealing the labels off I would never touch one again. A couple actually did last for about three years. The worst thing is I already had an epson r200 at the time I was using the label machine. So far I have had no problem with hub printable ty's.
