Xbox settings will not save

I have an xbox with XBMC. Softmodded via hotswap and xbe xploit.

Every time I change the settings in the MS dash or XBMC ( my default dash) it will go to defaults after turning the xbox off and on. I tried making a profile but the profile doesn't show up after restarting ( so I assume its deleted?).

Any fixes?

I redid my softmod yesterday and built a new c partition with xboxhdm and reinstalled via ndure but still no fix.
