how to add graphics to a AVI

Hi ...I have an AVI file and I want to add graphics to it...like a dancing mikey mouse and so fourth...does anyone know of any software I may be able to find that will allow me to do this?

If you are familiar with VirtualDub, there is a logo filter available.
You can use to add a graphic overlay on the video - the link is to an example of a bitmap that can display a rotating globe.

Download the filter (not the source code) and the BMP files comprising the demo graphic.
