I BOUGHT THIS IN HOPES TO RECORD MOVIES, BUT EVERY DVD-R CD I USE I GET AN ERROR MESSAGE STATING THAT I CAN NOT RECORD ON THIS DISK
E4 54037380 WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? THE DVD-R'S IS A MAXELL BRAND SHOULD I SWITCH BRANDS? OR RETURN MY PLAYER?

As to an answer for your question, I'd try buying another brand of disks. I use Sony DVD+R 16x in my recorder with no issues... It should only run you 10 dollars at any store for 30 of them, hope this helps. If not post your question again in the other thread with as much info as you can and we'll see what we can do to help you...
