Hey,sorry if this has been posted before,i had a search but could'nt find an answer.
I have a few backups on some crappy white-top discs (not sure of the make)..which have a tendency to play sometimes an not others,all the games on my verbs work fine every time.
Could i do a straight copy from the crap disc to a verb?
Do you think that would solve the problem of them choosing when they want to work or not?

You just answered your own question. You said Verb's load all the time so why would you use cheaper dl's? Yes burn them on Verbs and stick with them. Always stick with what works.

Yes, just either direct copy the game from the crap disk to the Verb or extract it and burn it to a Verb.

If you have a bad disc, that means some of the data is corrupt from either a bad burn or the dye in the disc is breaking down. So if you make a copy of the bad disc, you're just copying those errors to another disc. Soooo... you'd just be wasting that new disc.

This is a classic example of how cheap media is actually more expensive than Verbatims.

bhetrick is correct. The only time it will work is if you can prove that it is your 360's laser that is not reading that cheap media correctly. Like if you put it into a friends console and it plays fine, then you know it is your 360 and not the disc. In that case then you could just make a copy to a disc that your system likes.

But i agree 100%, stick with what works (Verbatim).
