Hi people,

It's been a while since I have played PS2 games, but now I bought my kids some PS2 games. My problem is when I use to play it when it just came onto the market, you did not have the analog controllers on the controllers. You could play all games using the digital 'cross'? Now I see all games default back to the analog and it does not matter if you use the on/off switch on the controller to try and switch between them?

For me it's just easier using the 'Cross' to direct movement, is there any other way you can switch this analog(that looks like 2 crayfish eyes) off for good?

Please help me people, going mad here!!!

no. most new games are being created where the d-pad is used for other features, and the analog stick is used for movement.

Yea you can't change that for the new games.

Its like riding a bike you'll get used to it. Your never too old to adjust.

Most racing games you can use the left analog stick or the directional pad to steer but in other games like splinter sell, Ghost recon , etc...
its just analog, so my advice is get some racing games
