No updates (as of right now) will stop games from booting, so it is something else that is causing the problem.

After updating to 1.9g did you run the 1.3 config disk? You might have to use the hex version first to load it. There should be a guide here somewhere as how to do this. It could possibly be that you don't have region over ride turned on. Though when you say all of your game, I would assume that some would be of the region of your console.

To me intermittent success implies a disk reading problem - a change in media might well solve it... Verbatim DVD-R burnt using imgburn @4x speed.

Region override is for playing imported or out of region games. Firmware updates on the Wii or wiikey might cause problems with previously ok disks. You might try other media anyway cos as I said earlier if you were having problems before then they may have been made even worse simply because the media isn't too clever in your console.

so basically i don't need to run the config disk because it is for wii games that are from another region but i still have to do it for mario galaxy rite? and i tested it the 1.9g is working again the wii can read them i guess i didn't try hard enough but do i still need to run the config disk to play super mario galaxy?
