Here's my issue:

I LOVE that there is more support added to the 2.20 firmware update for the PS3 for embedded flash and WMV files on web pages. The browser now goes into a black "buffering" screen and then plays the video you click on at full screen. This is a nice feature...BUT, I have seen an issue now with downloading Divx videos from sites. On certain videos, when I click to download; I am given the standard "save to harddisk" screen and then I can download the video in the background. On others it now goes to the "buffering" screen and then tells me the video type isn't supported.

I'm wondering if there is a way to make it not try to buffer the file I'm downloading and to just save it to my HDD?

Thanks for any help or input you may have.

I actually figured it out today, I thought I'd post the answer so others don't have the same issue.

If you click on a download link and the video starts buffering instead of downloading:

reload the page, put your cursor so that it rests on the download link and then hit TRIANGLE. under the "FILE" menu select "save target" and the file will download instead of buffer... at least this works for me on the divx files the browser was trying to buffer.
