So I have an order from Modchip Central, and received an order and shipping confirmation. It has been more than a week. The shipping was standard post from Canada to the U.S. When I track the shipment from the Canadian Post site I see:
"2008/03/22 12:59 International item has left Canada "
Which appears correct, but the U.S. postal service tracking says:
"Status: Origin Post is Preparing Shipment
We have received notice that the originating post is preparing to dispatch this mail piece. "
It has said this from the first day that the item shipped.
Has anyone seen this before? I am beginning to worry about lost shipment. Any ideas?

I always get the "Status: Origin Post is Preparing Shipment" when going to USPS site when ordering from Modchip Central. You will just have to be patient. The package needs to clear customs and it usually is cleared quick but sometimes it can be held in customs for a few days. Nothing Modchip Central can do about it. I just don't want you or anyone else to be discouraged and not use them again. I have used that site for the past year and have had no issues. 100% top quality site.

It has been in customs for a week now. Is it possible that it won't clear customs because you aren't allowed to sell chips in the U.S.?

The last time I ordered from there it got held up in customs for about 10 days. Nothing Modchip Central could have done though. If you do email them they usually respond super quick and will over to send out another if it doesn't arrive after 2 weeks.
From my experience USPS's tracking system is so slow that they really shouldn't have one. Mine usually don't change from Origin Post is Preparing Shipment till after it arrives.
Like larrylje said you really can only be patient, customs can be super slow these days.

I agree with Duo22, it took them roughly 10-11 days for them to get me my WiiKey. So it should be soon.

10 days is not uncommon for international delivery. The packages need to be cleared by customs and this can take a few days.

Sorry for the newb question, but I thought it would be best to ask in this thread instead of making a new one. Is there any risk in ordering a chip from Canada to be imported to the U.S.? Could it be seized and the buyer face legal charges?
