I have purchased a Sony PSP off an e-bay seller and have found out that it seems to be a Japanese version
I have taken out the battery and the details are PSP 1000 and the Serial No;SJ1354789
The software version on it is 3.10 OE-A' and I have downloaded wirelessly version 3.93 but it won't accept it an error message comes up The game could not be started (DADADADA)
I have purchased a genuine Sony Memory Stick PRO Duo 2GB MagicGate
I am very new at this gaming and need help with what I can do
Can I get an English user manual from somewhere
I have got a couple of games for it and have finished one with my son Lara Croft Tomb Raider Legend, we also have motogp and colin mcrae rally 2005 plus and they all seem to play ok but I don't know how to get it to accept the update any help would be greatly appreciated also will I be able to register our PSP online

You cannot simply upgrade from a custom firmware, thats what oe is, to official. What you need to do is go to ebay and buy a pandora battery and use that to downgrade and then upgrade to
-m33 custom firmware(i reccomend)
-oe
-or the offical sony firmware.

if you know soemone with a modded psp then you can use his to make a pandora battery

I guess u didnt notice, u are the few lucky guys that got a custom firmware. That means u dont have to buy games , while u can just download them ! So what do u want (U can still upgrade)?

Best option - upgrade to 3.90 m33-2 and there are guides in this section. Custom firmware is way better than official in that your PSP can do a lot more including playing games you can download. English user manuals are available online from sony

I wouldn't worry about online registration - The benefits aren't great. Also if it's been registered before they might ask for purchase details etc. and it's not worth the hassle.
