Turtle beach headset X1 or X3?

Someone sold me on getting a turtle beach headset for xbox 360.

The X3 is $100, and the X1 is $60.

X3 is wireless of course, but still has a chord to connect to the controller.

I figure since the X3 is wireless,but has a chord to connect to controller getting the X1 wouldn't be much of a difference design wise.

Are the X1's good?No probs.Does it have the same volume adjusters for the chat,and game sound like the X3 does?

If so then I'll just opt for the X1.If not if the X3 is better,than might as welll drop a bill on it.

So anybody who owns either,your help is much appreciated.

For now,just stick to the elite one I have until then.

It's better than the white ones anyway.The volume adjuster is not right under the controller like the elite one.
