Hi there,
I have been using dvd shrink for ages now, and all of sudden I get this message up...(i dont have a great knowlege of computers so unsure if you need to see the whole message) If you could help me and figure out why I cant backup to a dvd disk. Please explain it like I'm a 2 year old - LOL I probably have done something but dont know what it means!! Thanks in advance!

These discs are garbage. You need better Media like Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden.

Looks like too much going on here. Try to free up some memory. Don't multitask; surfing the web, listening to internet radio, etc. while your burning.

Dialysis nailed it. Update the burner's firmware, and upgrade your media. There's a lot of cheap media readily available. It's junk, and no one wants junk back-ups. Stick with the blank media Dialysis advised.

I did try the suggestions above and it still didnt work it came up with this message...unsure if it's the same as my first one but have a look and see if you can solve this mystery, i would really appreciate it.

Still using old firmware. If you don't upgrade it you will continue to get errors....old drive + new media = coasters.

Your firmware, as pointed out by the ever-sharp LOCO, has not been updated.

You're still using garbage blank media.

What exactly did you expect to change?

Update the firmware for you burner, dialysis gave you a link for that.

Get some decent blank discs. Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim, or Sony.

Then try it again and please post back with your results.
