DVD-r compability with xbox thompson dvd-rom

Yes the title is the question, what good cheap brands are best suited for the xbox thompson dvd-rom ?

Is there anything special i should take in mind when i start burning my multiboot discs?

I have the same type of drive in my xbox and I use OPTODISC DVD-R 4.7G 1X/2X Speed General Use "Gold surface" 50-pack Cake box Version, Model GR470-C50-011-01, Retail you can get this at newegg.com for $35 plus $4.00 shipping they also work great for movies. I have only had three coasters but that was my fault not the medias. hope it helps.

so with this media I can burn movies and watch them on my xbox? Because everytime i put in my burned dvd's, the xbox gives me an error that it can't read the disc.

If you need a quick fix and need to run to the store for some media to work on the thompson I have found that
TDK DVD-R's work great as well

I can use any type of dvd-r in my xbox and it will play fine. I found it works 100% if I burn the dvd-r's with Record Now Max instead of Nero and other such problems. Its all in how you burn them.
